Luangprabang tak bat

La ceremonia del tak bat consiste en una ofrenda de alimentos por parte de la población local a los monjes budistas que salen de sus templos con las primeras luces del día. Se forman larguísimas filas que pasan lentamente ante los fieles que, arrodillados o sentados en el suelo, les esperan para depositar pequeñas porciones de comida en los recipientes que los monjes portan. Como en tantos lugares, la presencia creciente de turistas está desnaturalizando poco a poco una ceremonia cargada de auténtico fervor y espiritualidad

 

The ceremony of tak bat is an offering of food for local people to Buddhist monks who leave their temples with the first light of day. They are very long row to go slowly to the faithful people, that kneeling or sitting on the floor, waits for them to deposit small amounts of food in vessels carrying monks. As in so many places, the increasing presence of tourists is gradually distorting a ceremony filled with genuine fervor and spirituality
