CITY BEHIND HILL

Newer Older

A bit of an experiment I did earlier this summer. 15 images pano (3*5). 9 second exposure at f/7 per frame with a 50mm lens. I added some notes with directions.

Check out the high res.

Took me quite a while to stitch together. My computer was suffering. The image is unaltered in terms of saturation. I tried to keep it faithful to the actual scene.

Overall the stiching seems to have come out quite ok. There is only slight banding in the sky on the left which seems to be the result of the poor RAW converter in the stitching application.

    great shot as usual.
There's another spot to shoot this for a better angle.. try to go around the big rocks on the right side. Have to do some rock climbings tho.. ;)

I don't think I could decide where to start photographing that city. Too many posibilities! Keep up the good work.

    Thx for the comments!

CoolbieRe. I have more images that I don't post (mostly because of the smog) than that I do post. But that's Hong Kong. You try 4 times and maybe 1 time you get a good sky! I have been to this spot 8 times this year! And I missed that rainbow you posted, envy;)!!!

I know what you mean about the weather. I shoot a lot of landscapes and architecture. But I generally have so little time and rarely know if or when I'll have a chance to come back someplace, so I'm usually condemned to just work with whatever conditions are there at the time - I can rarely afford to wait for a good sky, etc.

Fantastic with great clarity, and lovely clouds again! I think I was patient, but 15 images pano! I am too lazy and will always use my wide angle, but I can see the point of working with a prime lens!
