My dad (aka panacealater) stands atop a misty hill at sunrise in Talmadge, Maine.
I spent the weekend at my parents' farm in Talmadge. I was hoping to get some pictures of the Milky Way over the farmhouse, but the weather never cooperated. The sky did clear off on Sunday morning, so my dad and I went up to the top of the hill to try to get some foliage shots.
As the sun came up, a mist rose off the hayfield, and without any breeze, it lingered. But we never found a very good vantage point for the leaves, and, discouraged, we walked through the mist, over the crest of the hill, to head home. Then my dad remarked at how long our shadows were, and I quickly raced down into his shadow as far as I could and started shooting away.
This is one of the best of the bunch. Thanks, Papa, for going up the hill with me and being my scenery!
