The Las Vegas Strip

Newer Older

The Las Vegas strip as seen after taking off from McCarran International Airport. We took off from runway 1L and made a turn to the west as we climbed. The only way I could have gotten luckier is if the fountains at Bellagio were going.

View a little bigger to really see the buildings. I also have a blog post about the making of this photo.

Wonderful exposure and excellent noise control. Love the lights and colors. Very clear shot - especially through a window.

One year later I realize I have a shot from the same day, November 28, 2008, the same time and the same direction but this is from the Rio. Notice the contrail.
