Tank history in the Wyoming Army National Guard

by wyoguard

The Wyoming Army National Guard is a predominant artillery state, with a rocket battalion and field artillery brigade headquarters in the state. However, after World War II, the state had tanks in for a brief period of time, from 1947 until 1953. Units included the Company D, 115th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron, with M24 Chaffee light tanks and the 141st Tank Battalion, with M4 Sherman tank variants and M24s.
