Ebony and Ivory carved wooden models of elephants on the lawn in the garden at La Quinetière. The tusks in these ornaments are real ivory - they belonged to my grandmother and were purchased at a time when it wasn't considered wrong to trade elephant tusks. I wouldn't dream of buying something like this today.
