This is really nice. Is it HDR?

      Thanks - it's not.

It was a really nice evening and I caught the light just right (although I was there about 2 hours, so I guess I should have caught it...).

Gorgeous lighting! Where were you stationed to have gotten this! Love the lighting on the buildings, just supreb!

Thanks - there's a small park in the Queen Anne District called Kerry Park (I think I'm remembering that correctly). It's very popular with Photographers at sunset...!

I'm planning on going to Seattle this fall and definitely have to get to Kerry Park! What focal length did you use if you don't mind me asking? I'm debating whether I should bring my 80-200mm or will 85mm on DX be long enough.

I just looked it up - it was a 70 focal length...the low end of my 70-200 lens.

I forgot about this! This was my version...I didn't have a car so I didn't have a chance to go there at night, but I just loved the view. My 85mm lens worked out well. It's weird though because most people not from Seattle who have only seen the skyline on Frasier don't realize that it's a zoomed in picture from a relatively far distance .
