Timber Piles - US 101, Bone River Bridge

Those 77-year-old timber pilings have carried drivers on US 101 over Bone River for the better part of a century, but it’s time to replace the bridge. In all, we’ll remove more than 70 piles from the river, opening the stream channel and restoring 82 square feet of stream bed.

Oh, and drivers will have a new bridge to travel – one that’s built to withstand coastal flooding and major earthquake events.
