Northbound SR 99 bridge piles

Looking northward at some of the rebar that will become part of the northbound SR 99 bridge which is currently under construction. On the left is the southbound SR 99 bridge that opened to traffic in fall 2011. The vertical pipes are the piles that are being driven more than 200 feet into the ground to support the piers of the new bridge.
