Wild Blueberry Maple Jam

Worth every penny of the expensive ingredients. Wild blueberries and maple sugar were cooked with brown sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice, and a handful of red currants to create this very Canadian flavour. It's like pancake in a jar! The maple sugar is a treasured gift from a friend in New Brunswick. I think this jam definitely put it to good use!

 

Recipe adapted from Well Preserved. I fortified the jam to a firmer set by using lemon zest and handfuls of frozen red currants. Read more at Dessert By Candy.
