yashica dental eye

welcome to the family...

"There are at least three versions of this 'Dental Eye' camera, all with fixed macro lenses and ring light flashes. These cameras were utilized not only by dentists, but also by doctors and medical researchers for medical/scientific photography."

"The Dental Eye I appears to be based on the Yashica FX-3 Super body, extensively modified, and came with a power winder and 55mm f/4 macro lens. It was a fairly successful model and helped to maintain Yashica/Kyocera's lead in the medical/ dental camera market, although the short 55mm focal length resulted in complaints of uncomfortable working distance in the dental chair or operating room."
