PBS KIDS Day at DelGrosso's Park
We could not have asked for a better day for our annual WPSU Kids' Day at DelGrosso's Park on Saturday, June 22, 2019! The weather was absolutely PERFECT, which was reflected in the 475 visitors who came out to participate in all of our activities.

Our special guest for the day was Buddy the Dinosaur from PBS KIDS Dinosaur Train and boy, do kids LOVE dinosaurs! Families had the opportunity to see just how big several dinosaurs were as they walked along our Dinosaur Walk, created Impression Fossils of a variety of animals using modeling clay in a Petri dish, checked out how birds use their beaks to pick up food at our very special Bird Beak Buffet, dug for dinosaurs in our Dino Sand Dig, searched for clues to our park scavenger hunt, made a rocket, and took photos with Buddy the Dinosaur.

Each child also took home a Dinosaur Train Activity Book, a PBS Summer of Adventure activity booklet and bookmark, a PBS KIDS summer reading log, a Science-U magnifying glass, and a very cool PBS KIDS flashlight. DelGrosso's also gave each child who completed the scavenger hunt a specially made jar of Buddy's Dino-Mite Sloppy Joe Sauce, bottled just for our big day!
