San Francisco Architecture; War Memorial Opera

Fore-lobby & box office window. This is the space directly inside the front doors. To the left are doors leading to the lobby and prominade adjacent to the auditorium. The San Francisco Opera was one of the last important Beaux-Arts structures to be built in the United States. The structure was inaugurated October 15, 1932 with a performance of Puccini's Tosca.
