Disappearing Malta - Doors & Facades
Disappearing Malta - building permits are pasted on hundreds of old buildings, in Malta, often signifying the end of an era. The majority of architects, from what I've seen on extensive walks around the tiny island, favour concrete, glass, and steel over the restoration of the beautiful old houses of a character.

I've been photographing doors and facades in Malta for the last 3 years. I'm fascinated by the beauty in the decay - wabi sabi - of the vestige of history which surrounds them. Mostly, I want to see behind the doors, the facades. However, sadly, since beginning this (unintentional series) many of the doors have already disappeared.
