Having spent the night at the top of the Großglocknerstraße, I set out for Wien (Vienna) for an early dinner with a friend. However, I had one small problem - I was running about two hours early.

So when I spotted the form of the Erlebnisburg Hohenwerfen (Hehenwerfen Fortress) below, and a motorway exit, I jumped at the opportunity (being something of a castles buff).

How was I to know that I would get nary a castle shot worth keeping... as my timing was impeccable: within five minutes of arrival, the falconry display got underway.

This ol' boy started things off.

It certainly does have an Arachnid appearance as all have mentioned...Brilliant photography for focus and all the tech stuff...Should be seen somewhere where it could be appreciated for a long, long time - saleable for sure...

Excellent raptor capture - some spare time put to great use...
