Edinburgh International Book Festival, Charlotte Square 01

    Prev Next

On a dry day the gardens in Charlotte Square are a good place to pull up a seat or one of the decorated deckchairs and relax amid the hubbub of the festivals going on in Edinburgh. Sadly this is a private garden in the middle of the New Town square the rest of the year round, but during the Book Festival it's open to all as the world's biggest book festival takes place. As the sign on the bottom right warns though, it can get muddy on the grass when we get our usual rain - there's a reason the team in the book fest's press tent have several pairs of wellington boots ready to use by their door!
