A Day by the Forth 07

The massive cantilever designed Forth Rail Bridge, completed in 1890, spanning some 8,094 feet - 2,467 m - it crosses over the great Firth of Forth, carrying the rail network onwards from Edinburgh north towards Dundee (crossing the equally impressive Tay Bridge spanning another of Scotland's huge coastal river estuaries) and Aberdeen. This impressive piece of engineering is now a national landmark, and a UNESCO World Heritage site.
