Just Scots Going Around Their Business

Loving the new mural on the side of Saint John's Church on Princes Street, timed for Rosh Hashanah and celebrating the multi-cultural society of modern Scotland. Especially nice to see a Christian church reaching out to celebrate other faiths in our mixed society, the church here has a history of some excellent murals which usually comment on moral and social issues, almost like a giant editorial cartoon.

I especially like the visual homage on the top right, which is a nod to Henry Raeburn's 18th century painting of the Reverend Robert Walker ice skating on Duddingston Loch in Edinburgh, which is famous as the symbol of the National Galleries of Scotland: Lovely touch.
