both powered by the breath of the earth

Normally they say don't point the camera into the bright light, but in this case as I zoomed in on one of the alternate energy devices around North Berwick harbour (a sign nearby proudly proclaims wind and solar are used to generate much of the power needed around the harbour facilities) the bright light behind and the cloudscape seemed to make a nice semi-silhouette of the windmill (which rotates around on a pivot as the wind changes). Just as I was about to click I saw the bird flying past from right to left and clicked hoping I had caught it in the same frame and luckily I had, one the product of millions of years of evolution, riding the air currents above the coast, the other a modern piece of lightweight but strong technology following and harnessing the strong sea breezes to create pollution free energy.
