The Gordian Knot
this piece of rusted steel projecting out of the sea wall along the promenade at Cramond, Edinburgh has been twisted around almost into a bow tie knot. I don't think it started life this way but somewhere along the line someone has shaped it (and it must have taken a bit of doing!) into this, just sitting there all by itself on the sea wall. Perhaps it is a modern Gordian Knot and pilgrims come from all over to marvel at it and to test their abilities as they try to untangle it..
