"Big" Adra Tunnel

Some of my images of the Big "Adra" Tunnel were featured on unfortunately under negative circumstances. A week ago some numb skulls decided to burn an ATV quad-bike at the blocked entrance of the tunnel which then spread across the wooden foundation which was then left smoldering for days. One third of the tunnel’s 490–metre length was lined with timber in an effort to secure unstable rock. It is believed the timber dates from the tunnel’s completion in 1914, as part of the Kettle Valley Railway construction on the hillside above Naramata.
