Silica Coating Test #1 Palladium

Holga 120N, Delta 400 in Finol

printnegative on Wephota FO5 23,5x25,5cm

Bergger Cot-320 coated with Silica

Palladiotype (traditional developing process)

masked with Regumask rubyrot 63

developer Oxalate/Phosphate

clearing 3 baths of Phosphoric acid 4% - without a wash after developing

I found that it is impossible to remove the iron stain completly with this paper (contrary to Arches Platine), when a water rinse was made before the clearing bath.

Precoating with Silica causes an increase of contrast and dmax.

Take care with the dust of Fumed Silica. Breathing in of the fine dust particles can be hazardous to health.
