Used to be one of the five pubs in the market the roughest and most local. In the early 80's situated bang opposite the famous graffitti:

"Broadway Market is not a sinking ship - Its a submarine - Vote National Front".

Seen off by the admirable Dove flourishing next door through the nineties.
