Virgin Falls

Location: Bridgestone Firestone Centennial Wilderness

Virgin Falls is a really kick butt waterfall. First, it comes out of a cave up on a mountain. Secondly, it flowing on a short creek bed. thirdly, it cascades over a short ledge and then a larger ledge tumbling some 100 + feel over a cliff face. finally, once the water hits the bottom it finds itself back into a cave and underground somewhere else. If you are ever looking for a really great day hike, or even a one night camping trip, this is the one. Part of an 8 mile loop through some beautiful forest.

This shot was taken back in April on a Tennessee waterfall trip with mcmillend and wnywaterfallers and his family.

and of course check out more about this waterfall and others throughout the eastern US at Eastern Waterfall Database
