Drinking With Antiques
A short while back I loaded my Metropolitan Industries, Crest 120mm and took it to the bar with me. This is an 80 year old box camera that probably sold for around $1 in its time. It has no real controls other than selecting f16 or f22 (basically one setting for a clear bright day on Earth and one for a clear bright day on Mercury). It also shoots at 4:3 aspect ratio, but not 6x4.5cm, but 6x8cm-ish so that's kinda cool.
I'm guessing the above shot is about a 20 second exposure. Hard to say, though, as I had a few beers. It's also an interesting experience taking antique cameras to bars because people immediately start talking to you. The downside is after they get through their questions about the camera itself they won't keep talking to some weirdo drinking with an antique.
