Pug Bum Misadventures
Beebs got an acorn stuck up her butt shortly before this photo. She sat on the ground under a tree, when we stood her up there was an acorn stuck right smack on her butthole. Poor pug. So I dislodged it, put her panties back on her and sat her on my lap for this shot. Neither one of us is very outdoorsy. Little incidents like this are why I always have hand sanitizer.
By the way, it was the spouse's idea to sit her under a tree. He thought she might be tired because we went for a little walk. In the back of my mind I'm thinking, "This might have an uncomfortable ending," but I didn't want to argue. So it was with a little surge of I-told-you-so that I said to him, "You're going to have to hold her still. There's an acorn up her butt and I need to get it out." I love shocking him with random shit, especially when it's his fault :) He didn't try to sit her under a tree again.
In case you're wondering how we walk her with her hind legs being weak, we fashioned a sling for her out of a super soft baby blanket. It takes the stress off her back legs and she moves like a pug racer under the momentum of her front legs :) The weather we've had lately is perfect for Beebs. Not too hot, not too cold. She enjoys a little stroll around the neighborhood on days like this.
