Dobbin Close, Belmont

South of Kenton Lane a small field bordered the railway line. Houses and a school were built on the site and these encroached onto the former trackbed, but sufficient room was left for a footpath. "Dobbin" is thought to refer to the donkey which formerly occupied the field.
