WIPO Director General Meets Albania’s Prime Minister

    WIPO Director General Francis Gurry (center on the right) met with Albania’s Prime Minister Sali Berisha (center on the left) in Tirana during an official visit on October 15 and 16, 2012 to discuss bilateral cooperation. In meetings - with the Prime Minister and state officials responsible for intellectual property (IP) - Mr. Gurry reiterated the Organization’s support for Albania’s efforts to strengthen its IP system and to raise awareness of IP. He said WIPO is prepared to support Albania in the implementation of the national Strategy on Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights for the period 2010-2015, which was approved during the Director General’s visit.
