Qatar Joins the Marrakesh Treaty
WIPO Director General Francis Gurry (right) received on October 24, 2018 the instrument of accession by the State of Qatar to the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who Are Blind, Visually Impaired or Otherwise Print Disabled.
The Treaty will enter into force for Qatar on January 24, 2019. Qatar becomes the 44th member of the Marrakesh Treaty.
The instrument of accession was deposited with the Director General by Ambassador Ali Al-Mansouri, Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva.
