WIPO to Support Belt and Road Countries in IP Development
On May 14, 2017, WIPO Director General Francis Gurry signed in Beijing with the representative of the Chinese Government an agreement for closer collaboration between WIPO and China in the field of intellectual property concerning the Belt and Road Initiative.
The agreement lays out a roadmap for cooperation with a number of priorities. On behalf of the Chinese Government, the agreement was signed by Commissioner of State Intellectual Property Office Shen Changyu.
