Saudi Arabia Joins Marrakesh Treaty
WIPO Director General Francis Gurry (right) received on November 21, 2018 Saudi Arabia's instrument of accession to the Marrakesh Treaty to Facilitate Access to Published Works for Persons Who Are Blind, Visually Impaired or Otherwise Print Disabled.
The Treaty will enter into force for Saudi Arabia on February 21, 2019. Saudi Arabia becomes the 47th member of the Marrakesh Treaty.
The instrument of accession was deposited with the Director General by Ambassador Abdulaziz Al-Wasil, Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva.
