my little friend, Spunky
I went to the pond, finally, found a gleaming fish hook and some swan poo, but no swans. Went clear to the other side, down to the water, and found this darling splayed out in the sand. Picked her up (a juvenile?) and she's missing a leg (in my other bag i have cloths, so i just used my shirt. eewww). I drove her to the Tufts Wildlife Clinic and dropped her off. They said she didn't look good but she was breathing, and i told her in the car, that was her only job. As long as i stroked her she was fine, but if i stopped she got all fidgety, and pushed her head into my fingers, like my rabbits do. I am completely in love with the tiny creature. I hope they can save her. They wanted a donation. Ur, can i mail you a check? (they had to put Spunky to sleep. Her injuries were impossible to repair). Spunky and Squeezie and Star rest safely in my heart.
