    This was a TEENY green mantid. My security guard friend was antagonizing it so it was getting this little "boxer" stance when he would get close to take a pic. I got this pic and it looks like a monster with the background.

    When they are tiny they are super cute. I had small bonsai and kept it outside. One day I found a baby mantis hanging out under my bonsai. hehe

    NIce! My wife & I chopped down our own Christmas Tree that apparently had a nest in it... about a week later, there were hundreds baby Manti in our living room!

    Awesome...I once caught female and male praying mantids. The two mated, but the male didn't last long...

    same here. when we moved into our new house 7 years ago, I put out egg pods in the bushes..nothing until about 3 years ago!
    Now every year we see mantises. they are the cutest of all the insects, they always look so intelligent and they watch you following your movement, it's amazing.

    I put out ladybugs every year as well, my poor mini-roses are always aphid attacked!
