You'll want to press "L" on this one...
Tonight, I was sitting here and caught myself getting lazy again with the shooting. This happened to me before when I got busy trading photos for money or time. The project 365 can, and has, suffered as a result. So, I packed up the gear and headed out.
It was actually a little nice to walk for a bit. Believe it or not, I hadn't actually gotten to do much of it lately. On the surface, I thought I was glad to have not been on the move with lenses, cameras and the stress of finding a shot. Instead, I just hung out and let the shot come to me. A nice (although quite warm) little walk through the park. It was late enough that I was the only one there.
True to the purpose of this project, I decided to try and shoot into the sun for a little challenge. Breaking the rules has, in the past, been kinda my thing so I was able to live a little dangerously through the lens tonight as well. I'm glad I took myself seriously about it tonight. If I'd stayed home, I would have been disappointed by the dwindling golden hour light while I watched a power outage on Monday Night Baseball ;) Plus, sooner than we think, the warm summer sun will be gone. I thought to myself, "Let's enjoy this while we can".
