bokeh lantern

Another bokeh experiment using Christmas lights in the background to create the bokeh. I shot this one outside at night with a clump of lights providing backlight to a glass candle lantern. The bokeh and the reflections from the glass seem to do well with the silhouette of the lantern. One of the few disappointments was that the lit candle inside the lantern didn't stand out more (see note on pic). I didn't realize it until later, but the candle flame was aligned with a groove in the glass that both minimized and distorted it. Probably easily correctable though.
