I’m not sure what it is about me and sunsets but I like to joke around that I’m a sunset curse. Rarely do I ever get to capture a sunset, either there’s too many clouds or none at all. This trip to RRG was just more proof, if you want to catch a sunset you’d better not have me along or at least if you want to catch one with clouds in it you’d better leave me at the cabin. Although we did have some clouds the evening before, Randy and I decided not to rush from Sky Bridge over to Chimney Tops because there wasn’t much cloud action and we decided to stand atop Sky Bridge and shoot the sunset. I chose to try some serious HDR bracketing attempting get the different colors in the sky and to capture the color on the bridge. I tried several compositions, this one turned out to be my favorite. Ok, so maybe I’m not completely a sunset killer but I will admit, I’m rarely in the right place at the right time for the right conditions.
