Ebony Jewelwing - damselfly

Hawn State Park 7/12/13 - Besides the many dragonflies and damselflies we found at Hawn, we witnessed our first Gray Petaltail Dragonfly on this trip. Andy was not able to get a photo, since it flew just as he tried. I saw it fly to a trunk of a tree and perch on the trunk, vertical to the ground or parallel to the tree trunk. I called to Andy who was able to get to see the marvel with his bins. Special. This impressively big gray/black dragonfly had clear wings.
