Copper Pass via Twisp River Trail, Sawtooth Wilderness, WA.
Overnight backpacking trip up to the basin below Copper Pass where the headwaters of Twisp River originate with friend and backpacking partner Hit the Trail. We camped just above the basin on a plateau with excellent flat camping sites and views down the North Fork Twisp River drainage before heading up to the Pass and exploring up the ridge leading back towards Switchblade Peak a short way. The highlight of the trip was the two Nanny, one Billy, and four kid goats that were visiting / grazing / climbing around our tents. Good times. 13.4 miles, 4100' r/t.
