Mission Peak 6876' / Ridge / Plateau, Wenatchee, WA.
We did not expect to be doing a Mission Ridge / Peak trip in late July but the cooler unsettled early summer weather had us trying to pick tight windows between the showers and thunderstorms this year and this 11.2 mile, 3200' of elevation gain round trip hike ended up using all the available window we would have for the day as the thunderstorms arrived shortly after we returned to the vehicle and were heading down the mountain back into the Wenatchee Valley. We started early and were eating lunch on the summit at barely 1100 hr. the skies were overcast and it was nice cool hiking weather and while views from the summit were obscured by clouds it was amazing to see so many varieties of wildflowers along the way we even passed by quite a few "Rock Roses" that were blooming. I guess you have to focus on what you have to work with.
