Macaroni Penguin making its way to the sea 0R7E4021

Macaroni Penguin chugging along from colony to the South Atlantic Ocean (Eudyptes chrysolophus). The Greek name for this bird "eu" means good and "dyptes" means diver. These birds are found from the Sub-Antarctic to the Antarctic and were at one time considered the most numerous Penguin species however severe declines in their population numbers have now designated this bird of the sea as vulnerable.
