This dandelion was in our back yard. I was looking for something to shoot using my Carl-Zeiss Macro 100mm f/2 ZF Makro-Planar T* manual focus lens. The wind was blowing and manually focusing through the Nikon D700's viewfinder isn't the easiest thing in the world. This was hand-held as my tripod doesn't get that low.
I imported the raw NEF file into Lightroom and applied a custom camera profile to it. Then I opened the file up in Photoshop CS4 and applied Imagenomic's FilmGrain Velvia 100F effect to it and then applied a very slight bit of sharpening to the image using Topaz Detail 2.0. The image was then framed using Mike's Framer Photoshop Plug-in.
