My final shot for my 365. I can't believe I'm done. When I started
with this project I was completely new to photography; it was
something I picked up because Caryn (the love of my life) seemed to
find a lot of joy in taking pictures. Now, a year later, I find it
almost impossible to imagine my life without a camera.
I know I missed a few days, most of them during the time Caryn’s mum passed away; I had other things on my mind then; but the few pictures I took back then really helped me to find a place for my emotions.
Thank God there were also a lot of good things that happened: we bought our very first house, refurbished it, we got a new absolutely adorable cat, we had a fabulous holiday and made a few very nice trips to London .I got a promotion at work, I rowed in the Great River Race, spent lots of great evenings at our local pub, I ran ½ a marathon and last but not least: I met some really awesome people and great photographers on Flickr. Some of them I met in person and I really consider them to be good friends. (I could name you all, but you know who you are and this way I don’t risk forgetting anyone).
Anyway.. I promise to keep posting. I won’t do a year two: I started a 52 weeks project this January. Also I want to explore on other kinds of photography then selfies, and another 365 would take up too much time.
Of course I will probably keep playing Flickr Group Roulete, The Rogue Players and Musically Challenged: the three groups that inspired me most during this project.
For now I am celebrating my last 365 shot (and my 4th 52 weeks shot)!
Thanks for great year! Cheers!
