Flowers - La Crosse, WI
@ Riverside Park
For Mother's Day, my girlfriend and her daughter went with me to take photos at various places around La Crosse. Our first stop was at Grandad's Bluff Park again - however we didn't go to the top where all the hordes of people were, we wanted to walk through some of the various trails that go around the base of the bluff. As we walked around we did see a few different wildflowers and one deer. Since we forgot to pack water along, our thirst got the better of us and we cut the trip a bit short - spending only about an hour on the trails.
After getting some beverages, we made our way over to Riverside Park to see the flower garden that was setup. We meandered around there for a bit before heading for some exploration around part of the La Crosse River State Trail. We didn't spend a lot of time on the trail because we didn't see much to photograph besides a couple flowers.
Before heading out of town, I tried to get close to some marsh birds north of UW-La Crosse ... to no avail. Looks like I might have to invest in a kayak to get close to anything in the La Crosse marshes...
