Belle of the Ball 2014
On Saturday, March 23rd, WHW teamed up with agency partners Girls Inc. of Orange County, Orangewood Children's Foundation, Orange Coast College and over 300 community volunteers to provide a day of empowerment, allowing 325 at-risk teens and foster youth to receive the necessities and frills in order to attend their prom in style and gleaming with confidence.

The day started with breakfast and an inspiring kick-off message, followed by prom shopping, a skin care and make-up workshop, a workshop on fostering a positive body image and an interactive workshop on professional styling to prepare the young ladies for their first job search.

The eight months of planning included securing over $500,000 worth of in-kind and financial sponsorships that provided 2,337 dresses, 1,630 pairs of shoes, 982 pieces of jewelry, 439 purses, 400 make-up goodie bags and more. The event, which was established in 2008 has served more than 1,600 teens.
