"Red. You burned red that day. I couldn't see past the fire in your eyes, the smoldering remains of a conversation just passed still lighting your features. You were gone to me, no longer blue with a loneliness we both couldn't shake. Yes, of course, it felt like a hot poker in my flesh, but I was happy you were keeping warm even still.

You burned red. And I stayed buried in ashes."

-A small snippet from some writings I've been doing lately. (I need to do more of that, for sure.)

This is a small series about the color Red. This beautiful girl I met this week, Michelle, could not have been more perfectly suited for this place. I'm so glad she decided to wear a red dress that day.

I can't wait to share more photos from my time in and around Portland very soon!
