Retro Dishes

While on vacation on the east coast, I found two sets of these dishes at a thrift shop in Providence, Rhode Island. I had them mailed home to me so I didn't have to pack them in my suitcase! The set came with a dinner plate, a small salad plate, and a cup and saucer.

The Salem North Star pattern had the COOLEST salt and pepper, very atomic shaped. The butter dish is also fabulous and dishes can still be picked up at a really reasonable price if you ever want to even out the set. Both eBay and replacements always have lots. Salem North Star is one of my favourite 1950s dinnerware.

I own a thrift shop and had this same dishe set for sale and could not get rid of it, finally they were marked down to about a dollar for the whole set and sold...I just loved them but had no use for them. Sad really.
