Holy cow, I've never seen such a thing! Your cupcakes are as pretty on the inside as they are on the outside!

(dang, now i want a cupcake.)

I got the idea from this blog post and then made it with regular food dye and cake mix.

OMG, so funny. I had the inspiration to do some this past weekend too from the same blog post! Yours look so lovely! I only ended up doing 4 color tie dye. Did the people you served them to know what was inside? What was their reaction?

    4. whitneyarlene 73 months ago | reply

They were excited. I only made about five of the cupcakes rainbow in this batch since it was my first time trying it out. The response was so great that the next time I made cupcakes--about a week later for my brother's birthday--I made them all rainbow.

The Nerds on top proved to be a good choice too. People said the Nerds-cupcakes tasted like Fruit Loops :)

That is very cool! I haven't had Nerds in AGES! I made mine for a b-day party we went to where all the guests were French. We had to leave early b/c my husband was sick so I wasn't there when they ate them but I would have loved to have seen their reactions. My SIL said they were a "crazy success," but I think she'd just say that since we are family. I'll have to try them next time with more colors like yours!

WOW, that is some intense color for a cupcake. It would make me a very happy boy to get something so special.

ooohhhhh! I want to make these for my son's class on St. Patrick's Day, with maybe whipped cream frosting (like a cloud) with a gold coin sticking out of it. Thanks for the inspiration!
