What a phony show this "make believe President" is and always will be:

I statute the brave warriors who fight for the Freedom we enjoy in the U. S. If not for our warriors we all would be like the lowly workers in China. OR North Korea. There the people are killed for speaking out against their Dear Leaders.
Radio, TV news and Internet are monitored day and night...screeches are everywhere, human rights are not existent.

Thank You Warriors for defending our Constitution because God knows this President is NOT!

Some critics charge that the new policies pursued by President Obama and the 111th Congress caused the huge federal budget deficits that the nation now faces. In fact, the tax cuts enacted under President George W. Bush, the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the economic downturn together explain virtually the entire deficit over the next ten years (see Figure 1).

The deficit for fiscal 2009 was $1.4 trillion and, at 10 percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), was the largest deficit relative to the size of the economy since the end of World War II. If current policies are continued without changes, deficits will likely approach those figures in 2010 and remain near $1 trillion a year for the next decade.

The events and policies that have pushed deficits to these high levels in the near term, however, were largely outside the new Administration’s control. If not for the tax cuts enacted during the presidency of George W. Bush that Congress did not pay for, the cost of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that were initiated during that period, and the effects of the worst economic slump since the Great Depression (including the cost of steps necessary to combat it), we would not be facing these huge deficits in the near term. While President Obama inherited a dismal fiscal legacy, that does not diminish his responsibility to propose policies to address our fiscal imbalance and put the weight of his office behind them. Although policymakers should not tighten fiscal policy in the near term while the economy remains fragile, they and the nation at large must come to grips with the nation’s long-term deficit problem. But we should not mistake the causes of our predicament.

    Palin: Call in the Dutch!

I tend to think of making fun of Sarah Palin as pretty old hat. I mean, she has to say something pretty silly at this point to make me take notice. But last night she went on O'Reilly to rail on the president for not getting the oil leak at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico stopped. And when pressed on just how he was supposed to do that by all of people Bill O'Reilly, Palin said Obama had really blown it by not reaching out to the Dutch since they proved themselves so good at building dikes and sluices and dams to reclaim land from the sea. Which when you think about it is pretty much the same thing as capping an oil gusher a mile underwater.

    motherjones.com/mojo/2010/06/ad-targets-bachmanns-defense-bp

A new political ad is taking a bite out of Michelle Bachmann (R-Minn) over her support for BP. It appears to be the first televised campaign ad to use BP's spill against a Republican incumbent in Congress. By the standards of Joe Barton and much of the rest of the GOP caucus, Bachmann's BP lovin' is pretty tame. That said, she's taken $71,450 from the oil and gas industry, which is a lot for a Congresswoman from Minnesota. And Midwestern voters might not stomach a defense of BP as well as would those in Barton's East Texas.

For what it's worth, Bachmann calls the ad's claims "false and misleading." But her Democratic opponent and the ad's funder, Tarryl Clark, provides citations for Bachmann's words on her website.
