So sad it took so long to plug the oil spill.....Daddy did you plug the damn hole yet.....all we get is made up stories by this Obummer regime . Jimmy Sawdust

Billy Ward, a developer who was building a gated fishing community that is now on hold because of the spill, said that Obama's visit was for show and that there was really nothing the president could do.

"It's the unknown that's killing us," said Ward, who comes to Grand Isle with his family every weekend to stay in their beach house. "We don't know if it's going to be six months or six years before we get back to normal, if ever. All we can do is pray."

WASHINGTON — The political ripples from the Gulf of Mexico oil disaster spread in the capital on Thursday as six West Coast senators proposed a permanent ban on drilling in the Pacific and another group tried to raise oil company liability in a spill to $10 billion from the current $75 million.

Senators Frank R. Lautenberg, left, and Robert Menendez, Democrats of New Jersey, proposed Thursday to raise the liability limit in oil spills to $10 billion from $75 million.

The move by senators from California, Oregon and Washington, all Democrats, was largely symbolic because there are no plans at present to open the West Coast to drilling. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger of California, a Republican, withdrew a modest plan for new offshore drilling shortly after the gulf accident.

The liability measure was pushed by Senators Frank R. Lautenberg and Robert Menendez, Democrats of New Jersey, and Bill Nelson, Democrat of Florida, who said the current limit represents a small fraction of the likely damage from the BP spill in the gulf.

Senator Lisa Murkowski, Republican of Alaska, a strong proponent of offshore drilling, blocked their bill, saying it would discourage all oil exploration. Ms. Murkowski is sponsoring a separate bill to raise oil taxes by a penny a barrel to increase the federal spill response fund.

The Constitution of the United States of America is in need of a strong people to uphold it. The Constitution is under attack, a usurpation of government officials, lawmakers, media, and a growing number of people who know nothing of the foundations of their own country, and seem as though they could not care less.

It is, therefore, the American Sons of Liberty's purpose to educate the American people about their Constitution, their history, and the current situations in America that are threatening the Liberties and Rights of America and Her people.

Israel concerned next flotilla will be accompanied by Turkish Navy.

Dozens of passengers who were aboard the Mavi Marmara Turkish passenger ship are suspected of having connections with Global Jihad-affiliated terrorist organizations, defense officials said Tuesday, amid growing concerns that Turkey will dispatch Navy warships to accompany a future flotilla to the Gaza Strip.

According to the defense officials, the IDF identified a group of about 100 passengers on the ship that could have terrorist connections with Global Jihad affiliated groups.

Look, another shot of a room full of America's biggest A-holes. Yeah, good job you schmucks on fixing the problem in the Gulf! WTF?! Ho-Bo said he's been in charge of the situation and he has his best people on it...yep, the 'BEST' people.

Two vacations, golfing, basket ball, white house events and joking around with the press...yep, really shows that the dissaster in the Gulf is a priority. President A-hole, you need to be slapped into reality! Or is it, that you WANT this dissaster to happen so that you can further your agenda?! Either way, YOU, MR ASSCRACK have failed the American people.

You fools have your heads so far up Ho-Bo's butt that you can't even admit when this a-hole does wrong by the American people and the environment. Pathetic. The entire Gulf is in danger of being destroyed and yet you will defend our current ass of president NO matter what.

And yes, EVERYONE is welcome to my gym...simple to see that by the photo's of those who come in. For example: Ian is a democrat, his mother and father are democrats...all are great people we just do not agree on politics. I would even go out on a limb and say that Ian is one of my closest friends. :)

Barrcak Obummer plays the fiddle while the World burns:

The ongoing interrogation of passengers who were aboard the Marmara – the Gaza aid flotilla’s flagship revealed that the majority of those who attacked the Israeli Naval Commandos boarding the ship have direct and indirect Global Jihad ties.

Israel’s investigation has revealed some 100 people infiltrated the peace and humanitarian aid activists making their way to Gaza, with the explicit design to attack Israeli soldiers using cold arms.

Some among that group are believed to have ties with World Jihad groups, mainly al-Qaeda.

The majority of suspects are Turks, but some are Yemenites and Indonesian. One Yemenite Islamist was photographed with a dagger in his belt prior to the raid.

The president's weak response to the crisis over the boarding of the Mavi Marmara is symptomatic of the leadership vacuum Mr. Obama has created. He issued no strong message of support for Israel, no criticism of NATO ally Turkey for its threatening language and bellicose attitude, no condemnation of the attempt to run supplies to Hamas through the Gaza blockade, and no suggestion that the United States would take any action to prevent future such flotillas from fomenting other crises, which the Free Gaza Movement has pledged to do. Mr. Obama seems to be watching the crisis unfold as helplessly as he watches oil leak into the Gulf of Mexico.

The gall of this President to try and bribe yet another Senate candidate
      He needs to be impeached

Former Colorado House Speaker Andrew Romanoff was offered the possibility of three high-ranking government positions if he agreed not to challenge Democratic incumbent Michael Bennet, formally endorsed by the president, in this year’s primaries. Two of the jobs involved working for a State Department affiliate—U.S. Agency for International Development—and one with the U.S. Trade Development Agency.

Romanoff rejected the offer but revealed this week that they were extended via electronic mail last fall by Obama’s deputy chief of staff, Jim Messina. A political news site has posted a copy of Messina’s email to Romanoff, which explains in detail the various job possibilities: Deputy Assistant Administrator for Latin America and Caribbean, USAID; Director, Office of Democracy and Governance, USAID and Director, U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA).
