The logistics of getting the president and his family out on a vacation is surely an outrageously expensive proposition. The security team that goes ahead of his travels, sometimes weeks in advance, is no doubt expensive.

What about Mitch Rmoney?? He had a full Secret Service team working for him & his family throughout the entire campaign. I bet that was expensive -- having at least two entire SS staffs, one for the President & one for the challenger, working 24/7. Where do you put the blame for that expense?

Security is not the fault of the president. It's an expense that comes along with the job. Regardless of of who the president is or what party he's affiliated with.

1.4 BILLION sounds like an insane amount. More than what I would've expected anyway -- they must have gone to Disneyland. :) What's your source for that figure? Do you take vacations? What is your view of a healthy work/life balance? Do you believe the president should work 4years / 8years without a break? Has any president gone without a vacation?

And your whining rant about Benghazi is really getting old. If you think that by repeating accusations and theorizing about what happened will make them true, you're wrong. al-Qaeda is a terrorist group that takes advantage (like any most criminals) of opportunities as they arise. They siezed that opportunity and got us -- no differently than they did 9/11/2001. The only party you can blame for these acts are the radical terrorists that committed them -- not the victims. If you really cared, you'd show some respect (for our citizens, our ambassadors, our military, our country and our President -- a.k.a. the victims) rather than support the insane notion that they had something to do with it or showed complacency. You're a troll.... a very dim troll.

When Michelle Obama went to Africa, they didn't want to pay out of their pockets. So what did they do? They "employed" their daughters as "assistants" so they fly for free.
Throughout the history, the rich get to the power for legacy. They don't need money.
It's the so called poor always abuse the power by enriching themsleves and their friends.
Obama's exploited the poor all his life. And last four years is not an exception. The problem is the dumb fall for his pathetic calss warfare.
At some point America will get absolutely broke, and then we will come back to conservative values. People always do. No money, don't spend it.
Greece has Germany, America has nobody to bail us out.
Obama sees $16trln in debt, and what he does? He proposes $1.6trln increase in spending with $400bln in cuts. If this is not stupid, tell me what it is.
He is either does it intentionallly, or he is just plain dumb.

      Should we connect the dots?
Obama "removed" Mubarek, who was pro_american and Israel's friend.
He cleared the path for Muslim Brotherhood, like he didn't know who'd come to the power. We all knew, but this admin. In addition, we even sent billions to the MB.
Stevens met a Turkish diplomat before he was murdered. Why?
Turkey had a shipment of guns for Lybia. Why? And, what did Ambassador Stevens have to do with it? so many WHY's.
I don't like this impotent congress.

How much money has Obama given to help any of his relatives?

      Hint.......it is not much.

So much for doing what you preach.

How much money has Obama sent to Unions who then send him money to get elected?

      Hint.....it is a lot.

AND the money is not Obama's stash..it belongs to the hard working tax payer who has not benefited at all. Mainly the middle class whom the thief is stealing from as always.

DNC has been creating the society of takers. No takers, no votes for DNC, and of course, Obama. He's been using the poor all his life "organizing".
A "poor" that is on welfare gets more benefits, money, healthcare, section 8, foodstamps, etc, than a working family, who pays for all that.
Just saw what Pensylvania reported. Scary numbers. the only end I see is a total collapse of the system. 110mln workers provide for 66mln getting gov assistance and 21mln gov workers.

You can't argue with history. Whatever liberals/progressives touched, they destroyed it, includiing millions of lives.
Russia, China, Korea, Vietnam, Latin America, Europe. You can't debate with liberals. The start raising their voices, attacking you, calling you names. They always try to shut down the oppostion. Liberalism is sick.
As always, they WILL lose this time too.

Selfishness and Greed rule the day with Obama and his UNION buddies cronies.
In his speech on Monday, Obama described the proposed changes in Michigan as being part of a “race to the bottom” that won’t help the economy – he was speaking about Michigan’s changing into a right-to-work state. Obama also added that the country needed to “get past this situation where we manufacture crises”, speaking about the ‘Fiscal Cliff’.

Please keep in mind this is the same man that cheered on Solyndra; blew 1 trillion getting our unemployment rate down to, what is it today 8.5%; made zero effort at reducing the deficit; has the least open administration in history and now he’s talking about a ‘race to the bottom’. Oh they hypocrisy.

When unions were good they were about safe working conditions. Now they are about pay, pensions and pocket padding aka bankrupting companies -look a Hostess.

While Obama wishes to play the union save card I think we should be reminded that the unions had NOTHING to do with the 40 hour work week or even paid vacations as so many on the left would like us to believe. Those things came from Mr. Henry Ford. Ford didn’t want the unions and was smart enough to realize that happy well paid workers could afford to drive his cars along with regular ‘middle class’ folk. A win-win situation.

THIS is the type of thinking we need to resurface.

The ‘race to the bottom’ is inspired by the WH and left’s divide and conquer class warfare rhetoric. I wonder how long it will take for the common man to see he is being played like a well tuned fiddle?

When I heard the president speak, I thought someone had his pages out of order, and he couldn’t find the next statement. It sounded like he was shuffling paper. I thought that the words on the papers told him when to wipe an eye.
Yes, his comment about putting a stop to these events was a threat against gun ownership.
This man did not use the mannerisms that people use when they are in emotional pain. It was acting, and not even very good acting.

So, naturally, the vast amount of coverage from media outlets focused on the weapons this monster used in the terrible crime.

The facts of the case were so obvious that it became maddening to see the American media not connect the dots that were in front of them. The fact that Lanza chose to murder the school psychologist should have been a clear indication that there was some link between this crime and his reported mental health problems, but it was barely reported, let alone analyzed.
